Compare files from the command lineYou can compare two or three files from the command line and use PyCharm as an external diff tool. Refer to Compare files from the command line for more information. Swap sidesWhen you are comparing two files, or a file with the Cliboard contents, you can swap sides by clicking on the toolbar.
When I’m developing code, I’ll frequently use this to keep track of other programs I’m working on at the same time. After each file is copied into the text file which makes sure all text files start on a new line. Do note that you will need to change Combined.txt to a different file name if you run the command more than once in the same folder. Otherwise, all text files will simply append to the same file.
